Forbidden Blog
Fear, focus, and the future. Here, C.M. Humphries writes about whatever.
I'm finally back at it. In the next blog entry, I'll explain a little bit more about my recent hiatus, but for now all I want to talk about is what's to come. Since I've had a bit of time to myself, I reviewed No-Injury Policy and decided I had to follow the short story collection up somehow, or at least the end-tale. With that in mind, I'm working on a novel in stories called Ashland's Asylum, which takes place almost twenty years after the end of "No-Injury Policy." Find out about my new book and more in the newest entry in The Forbidden Blog. Also make sure to check around the site periodically, as things are getting better. Enjoy! Works in Progress.![]() As I eluded to earlier, I started working on another collection of short stories, only this time it's a novel in stories. Ashland's Asylum picks up where the end of "No-Injury Policy" and a few other stories from No-Injury Policy almost twenty years after Elizabeth Joan met the Douglas Demon. So far it follows up "Facade" and "No-Injury Policy", but I'm sure other characters will come into play. More updates to come! Music.I've also spent a lot of time with a new project group. It's a kind of rock/rap/dance sort of groove, so it should be cool. I'll have more on the band in later entries. The Cartoon Thing.Sadly, my Asus passed away. Or at least, is on life-support. With that in mind, I do not have the necessary processing means to continue learning animation. While there is still hope in the future for a second pursuit at delivering an animation series to you, I would expect it anytime soon. Unless Ashland's Asylum hits it big. Which I'm sure it well. Smiley face. And sad face about the cartoon. Coming Up in the Blog.![]() Since I disappeared for awhile (at least on the inter-webs) I guess it might be worth noting what's been going on. For awhile I haven't found the motivation to speak on the subject, but then a friend of mine suggested it might be something that could help others. Sigh. I've been having some "anxiety" issues lately, and I guess I should speak out about them to not only see what people have to say, but mostly to see if there's anyway I can communicate to others in similar predicaments.
